Regional Breast Center

The Regional Breast Center (RBZ) is a joint project of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics of the University Hospital, the two Dresden hospitals Diakonissenkrankenhaus and St.-Joseph-Stift, the Elblandklinikum Meißen and Elblandklinikum Radebeul. RBZ Dresden is part of the National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC) and is certified according to the quality guidelines of the German Cancer Society and the German Society of Senology. 


In addition the University Hospital Dresden site is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. The goal of the RBZ is to ensure close patient-related cooperation between all disciplines involved in breast cancer. Besides gynecologists, the specialists involved in diagnosis andtherapy include internists, nuclear medicine specialists, pathologists, psychooncologists, radiologists and radiation therapists.


This is the only way to meet the strict quality standards of the professional associations and ensure that diagnostics and therapy at the center are in line with the state of the art in science and research.
