Let's Eat – Online nutrition program
Information and support for a healthy diet
A healthy, tasty diet that meets the individual’s needs is particularly important during and after cancer treatment. The dietary recommendations for people with cancer differ depending on whether they are undergoing cancer treatment or have already completed therapy. However, the goal is always to achieve a balanced diet for the particular situation in question. More information on nutrition during therapy and aftercare can be found on the website of our Aktiv Leben mit Krebs program.
The National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC) offers individual nutritional advice to patients undergoing treatment at the NCT/UCC.
We also offer a free Let's Eat online nutrition program. This is primarily aimed at people who have completed their acute treatment. However, patients who are currently undergoing therapy can also participate if they do not have too many dietary restrictions. Please do not hesitate to contact us. Let's Eat is run in cooperation with the Anne Güldner dietary and nutritional therapy practice.
The nutrition program provides:
- Science-based information on the connection between nutrition and cancer
- Information on the fundamentals of a balanced and varied diet
- Support with making changes to eating habits through nutrition plans and a nutrition diary
- Group cooking (each person in their own kitchen) using delicious everyday recipes
- Tips on food shopping, preparation and enjoyment
A program consists of four sessions, each from 17.00 to 18.30. Three workshops are planned for 2025. Participation is free of charge.
Eating with pleasure is part of our quality of life – often linked to positive memories. As an addition to our nutrition program, we set up the NCT/UCC baking project last year together with master pastry chef Stefan Salzer – himself a cancer patient at the NCT/UCC. You can find the videos and delicious recipes here. You are warmly invited to try your hand at baking them!
