Skin Cancer Center
Under the organizational umbrella of the NCT/UCC the Skin Cancer Center at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT/UCC) is a specialist expert group for the optimal care of patients with malignant skin tumors.
Its tasks include the standardized diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with malignant skin tumors in accordance with the applicable guidelines and in close cooperation with independent physicians and other treatment partners.
Patients with malignant skin tumors are primely treated is played by the Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology department of the Clinic and Polyclinic for Dermatology. Patients are treated on an outpatient, day-care and inpatient basis. The range of services includes tissue-sparing surgery, immunotherapies and targeted drug-based tumor therapies. Special consultation hours are offered for organ transplant patients and patients with cutaneous lymphomas. Regular consultation hours for sarcoma patients are held at the NCT/UCC.
The Skin Cancer Center cooperates with other institutions of the University Hospital - including surgery, internal medicine, pathology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and radiology - through the weekly multidisciplinary tumor board.
The trial center of the Skin Cancer Center provides access to novel drugs and innovative therapies through clinical trials.
